Marina Longwe is originally from Inverness but now lives in London where her husband, Andy has been minister of the London City Presbyterian Church since 2022. They have 2 young children, aged 6 and 4. Before joining Andy in ministry, Marina was a Police officer. She enjoys good coffee and street food.

Is the event free?
Yes – and refreshments and a two-course lunch are included.
Will a creche be available?
We hope to have a creche available for children under 3. Please indicate if you will be using this in the booking form.
Please note: Parents are asked to provide snacks or food for their own children.
My husband is still in training/retired etc. Is this event still for me?
Yes – very much so. The event is for ministers’ wives at all stages of ministry life, including those whose husbands are still in training or retired.
What about dietary requirements?
You can let us know any allergies or dietary requirements on the booking form when you sign up.
Is there on-site parking?
Smithton Free Church has plenty of on-site parking.
What about accessibility?
Smithton Church offers good accessibility with ample parking, ramp access and accessible toilets at ground level.

Enspire is a relaxed and welcoming annual gathering for ministers’ wives and ministers-in-training wives from across Scotland and a range of denominations.
The event offers time to be together, meet new and old friends, and share encouragement through God’s Word – with space to reflect, learn, worship, and be strengthened alongside others who understand the rhythms of ministry life. The day begins with tea and coffee, includes a two-course lunch, and finishes with coffee and baking.
The day includes a talk from a guest speaker, a practical workshop and plenty of time for worship, reflection, and shared conversation.

Enspire is a relaxed and welcoming annual gathering for ministers’ wives and ministers-in-training wives from across Scotland and a range of denominations.
The event offers time to be together, meet new and old friends, and share encouragement through God’s Word – with space to reflect, learn, worship, and be strengthened alongside others who understand the rhythms of ministry life. The day begins with tea and coffee, includes a two-course lunch, and finishes with coffee and baking.
This year’s theme is Rooted, drawing on Psalm 121. The day will include a main talk from Marina Longwe, a practical workshop with Ali MacDonald and plenty of time for worship, reflection, and shared conversation.
