Imagine being part of a campaign to intentionally pray for 100,000 people in Scotland every day. You can be!
The Free Church of Scotland is inviting you to be part of Engage 2026 — a national prayer initiative calling every believer to commit to praying for those who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
A Matter of Eternity
The vision is simple. If 10,000 Christians across our congregations each commit to praying regularly for ten individuals: family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, even people we struggle with, that will see 100,000 people brought before God in prayer.
Eternity is real. For those with faith it is a hope; for those without Christ it is urgent.
Praying with Purpose
Each of us is invited to identify ten people and pray for them urgently, faithfully, and persistently (Luke 18:1–8), trusting God’s power and timing, and watching for opportunities to share Jesus.
Through Engage 2026, we hope to nurture a culture of prayerful dependence and evangelistic awareness within our churches, encouraging every believer to see prayer as both the foundation and the driving force of mission.
As a denomination, our vision is to see ‘A Healthy Gospel Church for Every Community in Scotland’. That vision can only be realised as we depend on the Lord in prayer, acknowledging that true growth and transformation come from Him.
Opportunity
The answer to prayer is opportunity – and we want to help you with that. Over the coming year, Engage 2026 will share resources, ideas, and stories of encouragement. These stories will serve as reminders that, even when we cannot see all that God is doing, He remains at work through the prayers of His people.

The overarching aim of Engage 2026 is to raise the evangelistic temperature of the church in Scotland. As we commit to regular, intentional prayer, we trust that God will provide opportunities for witness and that we will be better equipped to respond to them with grace and courage.
Over time, our prayer is that this initiative will continue to deepen our understanding that prayer and mission are inseparable, and that every believer takes personal responsibility to pray for those around them.
All churches and individuals are warmly invited to take part in this simple, meaningful commitment to prayer. We trust that as God’s people pray, He will work for His glory and draw many to Himself.
