The Free Church of Scotland Moderator is currently travelling to Australia on a trip organised by the Free Church’s Inter Church Relations Committee in association with Presbyterian Church of Australia (PCA) and the Presbyterian Church of Eastern Australia (PCEA).
Rev Calum Iain and Dina Macleod are travelling to Australia for a packed programme of official engagements over a three-week period.
Calum Iain said: “Being Moderator comes with many duties and responsibilities. I am very aware that this means I am often away from our congregation and have significantly less time for pastoral visitation.”
He thanked his congregation, at Urquhart (Ferintosh) & Resolis Free Church, for their patience and understanding.
He added: “Dina and I greatly value your prayerful support as we prepare to leave for Australia. We are of course looking forward to seeing our daughter Anne Marie and spending time with her during our time there. We will have much to share when we get back.”
Rev Iver Martin, Chairman of the Inter Church Relations Committee said: “This is an important opportunity for our current moderator to be an ambassador for the Free Church and to connect with churches in Australia who will greatly appreciate the visit.”
