International Mission to Jewish People

(formerly Christian Witness to Israel)

International Mission to Jewish People exists to tell Jewish people about Jesus and see them come to faith in him. With roots in Scotland and London dating back 175 years, IMJP shares the good news of Jesus with all Jewish people, from night club owners and soldiers to students and Holocaust survivors.

Jewish mission with IMPJ involves getting alongside Jewish people, sharing the gospel with boldness and intentionality, building relationships, studying the Scriptures, and discipling new believers who have come to know Jesus.

The Free Church has supported CWI with a grant of £7,500 a year, and there have been strong links between the Free Church of Scotland and the mission going back many years.

The UK is home to just under 300,000 Jewish people. Our UK-based missionaries reach out through book tables, one-to-one evangelism, and Jewish festival outreaches.

There are currently two missionaries reaching out to London’s 185,000 strong Jewish community through door-to-door ministry, one-to-one evangelism, and street outreach. The London-based missionaries are also involved in large outreaches to Jewish people involved in New Age practices.
They also have a missionary based in Leeds and another in Glasgow who reach out to their own local Jewish communities through Jewish festival outreaches, Hebrew classes and one-to-one evangelism.

In 2022 a major initiative is to hold an outreach in 8 major world cities.  The planned visits are as follows: Rio de Janeiro (March), Amsterdam/Antwerp (May/June), Pittsburgh (June) Paris/Normandy (July), Odessa (August), Budapest (September), London (September), Tel Aviv (November), Sydney (December)
