The Scottish Parliament has offered its congratulations to Rev. Neil MacMillan on his appointment as Moderator while also recognising the “significant contribution” made by his predecessor Rev. Donnie G. Macdonald during his two-year term.
“That the Parliament congratulates Rev Neil MacMillan on his installation in Edinburgh as the Moderator of the Free Church of Scotland on 17 May 2021; acknowledges the significant contribution of the retiring Moderator, Donnie G MacDonald, in the service of the church particularly during the challenges of the last year; understands that Neil leads Cornerstone church in Morningside, Edinburgh, and teaches Mission and Evangelism at Edinburgh Theological Seminary; notes that he is both a son and grandson of the manse and is committed to see Scotland return to the gospel, and wishes Neil and his wife, Louise, success as he represents the Free Church.”
