Your Stories

March 10, 2021

We're continuing some of Your Stories from around the country this week with St Columba's Free Church member Sarah Broadhurst telling us about her lockdown baptism experience.

God hasn't stopped working among His people and we hope that through these short videos you'll be encouraged and inspired.

"Hi, My name is Sarah Broadhurst, I’m 25 and from Edinburgh. I graduated from Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen, with a Masters in Architecture in July 2019. During my final two years at uni, I began attending church with one of my friends - something I hadn’t done since I was about 10years old.

Following graduation, I moved back home to Edinburgh and began working at an Architectural design firm in the outskirts of Edinburgh. Keen to find a church where I could continue learning about God, I started attending St Columba’s. It didn’t take me long to feel right at home at St Columba’s where I became a Christian in 2019, and an official member of the congregation in Nov. 2020. Since then, I’ve continued to learn and grow as a Christian and I look forward to being able to step foot back in the building soon!"
