World Wide Mission on the World Wide Web

February 8, 2017

What do Helensburgh, Haddington and Dundee have in common with West Benin, King William’s Town?

All are home to mission projects connected to the Free Church of Scotland, through the Free Church Mission Board.

A short story of each place can also be found on the Free Church Mission Board Facebook page, which has recently had a short ‘refurb’.

Mission Director David Meredith spoke of the way in which social media has opened up new channels for the Mission Board to be able to share small updates on some of the projects with which they are involved.

"We see the Facebook page as a way the Mission Board can communicate and hopefully inspire," said David.  "The postings are usually more informal than news that we can share through other communication channels, but allow us to have a more instantaneous connection with those who we partner alongside."

Some of the stories featured on the Facebook page recently include updates of developing Free Church plants in Dundee, Haddington and Helensburgh. As each of these is in its infancy prayerful and financial support would be welcomed.

Further stories can also be found of international mission work that the Free Church is involved in supporting, including work in Africa through Dumisani Theological Institute.
