Rev. Andrew Macleod is set to become the Assistant Minister of Tain & Fearn Free Church after accepting the call to the northern Free Church congregation.
A congregational meeting was held on Wednesday night, where Mr Macleod’s name was unanimously proposed.
The 25-year-old Tong born graduate of Highland Theological College and Edinburgh Theological Seminary is expected to be inducted on 3rd November subject to Northern Presbytery being satisfied with his Trials for Ordination.
Tain and Fearn minister Rev. Alasdair MacAulay said, "We are delighted that Andrew has accepted this call. It has been clear for a long time that Tain and Fearn need more than one minister and we believe the Lord has led us to Andrew and led him to us. We are already discussing how we will share the workload between us, but also any fresh ventures that we can explore as a result of this new partnership."
Mr Macleod was thankful to be called by the congregation saying, “It is a great blessing to have received clarity from the Lord that this is where He would have me serve. I'm really looking forward to getting involved in the ministry here through preaching and engaging pastorally in the community.
"Working along-side Ali will be of infinite value to me as a young pastor both for now and for the years to come. We will be of help to each other in ministry but also as we fellowship together. We seek above all things that God be glorified in Tain and Fearn."
Please pray for Mr MacLeod and the congregation as he prepares to take up his new post.
