St Peter's Free Church, Dundee will partner with CreationFest and over 23 local evangelical congregations and ministries this Saturday in a city centre event which aims to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
St Peter's minister Rev. David Robertson, who is speaking at various events throughout the day, said, "This is the first time that evangelical churches in Dundee have united together for a joint open-air city witness."
CreationFest, a Cornwall based Christian Festival organiser, has successfully run two previous events in Glasgow's George Square, but this year they felt led to bring the event to Dundee. Sarah Yardley, the driving force behind this Saturday's event said, "It has been tremendous to partner with churches across the city to see the Gospel go forth".
"We have been encouraged by the generosity, the friendship and the real vision for reaching Dundee and beyond with the Good News of Jesus Christ."
David was keen for St Peter's to partner locally with CreationFest having been asked to speak at their summer festival this year. "CreationFest has a well-established track record in the UK - with a successful week-long festival in Cornwall attended by thousands and an all-day event in Glasgow in 2016 and again in 2017. The combination of music, arts, sport and bible teaching open to all is a powerful one. Please pray that the Lord will bless this attempt to reach out with the Good News."
"Pray for me as I have a seminar, an open-air talk and will be giving the closing address at 8 PM in the Steeple Church."
"Friends from all over Scotland are invited to join us - visit the new V&A and come and support this public witness from 12 noon to 8 PM."
