ETS 2019 Opening Service

August 27, 2019

Everyone is warmly invited to attend Edinburgh Theological Seminary (ETS) on Monday 2nd September. This will formally mark the beginning of the academic year at ETS.

This year's Opening Service will take place at 7:30 PM in St Columba's Free Church of Scotland, Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2PW.

The service will be chaired by the Principal Rev. Iver Martin, and Rev. Liam Garvie, Associate Pastor at Charlotte Chapel, will deliver the opening address.

Charlotte Chapel is one of several churches from whom ETS welcome students from each year.

Mr Martin said, "We are truly grateful to the Lord for the many students who have either begun or are continuing their theological studies at ETS in this new session. Making provision for this has been both exciting and challenging."

"We do hope that you will be able to join us on the evening as the presence of supporters and friends is always a huge encouragement to all who work at ETS, as well as to present and incoming students. This service offers a time for mutual fellowship before the busy work of the new session begins."
Please pray that staff and students would know the directing hand of God as they continue to prepare for a life-long mission of serving the Lord.
