The Free Church of Scotland has made a £2,000 donation from its Disaster Relief Fund to the Emmanuel Hospital Association in India as they battle with unprecedented numbers of Covid infections.
Mission Board Chairman Rev. Bob Akroyd said, "The COVID pandemic has impacted some countries more severely than others. Currently, India is experiencing a record number of infections. The pressure on hospitals and especially the supplies of oxygen have been intense, and the results have been heartbreaking. One of our global partners in the field of medical mission is the Emmanuel Hospital Association (https://eha-health.org/)."
"The Kachhwa Christian Hospital in North India has a project to purchase an oxygen generating machine to meet the needs of their patients. The cost of the machine is £20,000 and the need is urgent. The Free Church's Disaster Relief Fund has donated £2,000 towards this cause. We stand with our partners prayerfully and practically and we pray that the love of Jesus would be seen and experienced by many in this time of global crisis."
