Generation, the missional body of The Free Church of Scotland, is hosting a Church Planting Vision Weekend over the 23rd - 25th November in St Columba's, Edinburgh.
The event is aimed at sharing the Church's vision to plant 30 new churches by 2030 and how they plan to recruit, train and equip future leaders to carry out this work.
Free Church Mission Co-Ordinator Sarah Johnson said, "As a Church, we are fully committed to planting 30 new churches by 2030 and we'd love to invite everyone who is interested in hearing more to come along."
"We are delighted to have James Forsyth, senior pastor of McLean Presbyterian Church, Washington D.C. as our main speaker plus Matt Round from Edinburgh's Hope City Church."
"Over the weekend we are going to celebrate what God is doing within the Church and preparing for what He will do. Everyone is welcome to attend, so please come and explore how you can be a part of this."
Rev. James Forsyth grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he graduated from the University of Edinburgh, before moving to the U.S. to study at Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson. He is now a Guest Professor of Practical Theology at RTS Washington, D.C.
