Bookings are set to open soon for the 2023 Enspire event for ministers’ wives.
The event will be held on Saturday 11th March at Smithton Church in Inverness.
This is an opportunity for minister’s wives from all over Scotland, and from different denominations, to meet new people and catch up with friends while being encouraged by God’s Word.
Fiona Ross and Marianne Ross, who attended this year’s event, say: “If you are a minister’s wife, we would encourage you to come along next year, it was great to meet together with so many others in a similar situation.”
The pair shared their experience of the 2022 event which included Ann Macrae speaking about being ‘One in Spirit and Purpose’ which focused on Philippians 2:2and a reminder of Psalm 133: 1reflecting on how good and pleasant it is when we dwell in unity. Small discussion groups were held and there were also times of sung worship throughout the day.
There were updates from Susy Hall (Aberdeen), Anna Barnard (Edinburgh)and Martha Macpherson (Peru), who have each been relocated due to their husband’s ministry.
Jessie Macleod and Elspeth Smith, who live in Gairloch shared some of the ways they serve together. They are both working along with their husbands to reach out to the people in the village with the gospel.
The 2022 conference was commended by Fiona and Marianne, who said: “From beginning to end we were made to feel welcomed and cared for. So much thought was put into organising the event.”
