2017 Free Church Youth Conference Open for Bookings

November 1, 2016

The Free Church Youth Conference is now open for bookings, with early booking advised for what looks like being a full house for the fourth successive year.

The 2017 Free Church Youth Conference takes place at Lendrick Muir in Perthshire from Friday 17th to Sunday 20th March.

The main speaker for the conference will be Rev Calum Iain Macleod, minister of Back Free Church on the Isle of Lewis. He will be delivering a series of talks through the weekend on the subject of ‘Training Ourselves in the Gymnasium of Godliness (1 Tim4:7).

Over the course of the weekend there will also be 7 seminars to choose from on topics such as Apologetics, Meditating on God’s Word, Christianity and Mental Health, and a Sunday afternoon seminar on Gender Roles in the Church.

Carina MacIver leads the team of volunteers helping to organise the conference, and spoke of the plans that are coming together for weekend: “Today’s constant cultural attack on the gospel of Jesus Christ means it can be difficult to live as a Christian but we have a God who knows this and makes provisions to help us through life with events such as the Free Church Youth Conference. Our 2017 edition will be no different as we will welcome 150 delegates, of varying ages, from across the country for a weekend of Christian encouragement. I’m sure it won’t be entirely comfortable as Calum Iain will be challenging us about spiritual discipline that produces Godliness. Definitely book your place now in for a weekend in the gymnasium of 1 Timothy 4:7!"

Early bird prices are in operation again, with a special rate of £47 for students and £52 for workers for the first 50 space booked. After this the costs rise to £52 for students and £55 for workers. The price includes a £10 non-refundable deposit.

You can book a space through the dedicated online Youth Conference website here and pay via the Free Church online payment system here.
