Board of Ministry
The Board of Ministry is a Standing Committee of the Free Church of Scotland, and as such is answerable to the General Assembly.
The Board of Ministry receives and processes applications from Presbyteries, on behalf of men who are following the call to train for the Ministry. The Board sets up training programmes for successful applicants in consultation with the College Board, and monitors subsequent progress.
The Board of Ministry also carries out this function regarding ministers from other denominations who apply for entry to the ministry of the Free Church.
The Board of Ministry has the responsibility for the administration of the Student Finance Scheme in consultation with the Personnel Committee and the Finance Sub-Committee of the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Ministry also has the responsibility of organising and delivering the annual in-Service Training programme for serving ministers of the Free Church.
